What do Paul Rudd and Melissa McCarthy know about animation?!

Well, this year's Oscars were a major disappointment to animation fans. Even though Disney won their first Best Animated Short Oscar in 44 years with "Paperman," the presenters (Paul Rudd and Melissa McCarthy) were terrible, and "Brave" winning the Oscar for Best Animated Film caused some criticism to the animation fandom, like this video that was uploaded a very short time after it happened (NOT BY ME!)

They should be more like when they had Bugs Bunny present the best animated short Oscar in 1987 and 1995. I thought Seth McFarlane hosting would liven it up, but no!

And while I am on the subject on award presentation with cartoon characters, here's a weird and almost creepy attempt with the American Music Awards from 1991...

Bart Simpson's voice actress Nancy Cartwright was stuffed inside a strange Bart Simpson costume, while she was still pregnant at the time, and the mic in the mask wasn't working properly and she wasn't cued properly, making for a bizarre performance. When they included this on the Simpsons Season 2 DVD set, Matt Groening and other crew members of the show provided a pretty funny commentary on it!

Sometimes having the character's voice actor dress up as said character can be strange... well, unlike Charles Fleischer, the voice of Roger Rabbit, and his improvised costume of said character when he performed the voice!
