What's happening to the Scooby-Doo gang?!

Maybe you remember when I posted two new shows Warner Bros. Animation was producing for debuting in 2015: "Wabbit: a Looney Tunes Production" and "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo." Well, at San Diego Comic Con they revealed the designs for the rest of the gang...

Seriously? It looks like they came from a parody of Scooby-Doo, like something "MAD" or SNL's "TV Funhouse" would've done. There's already a lot of negative criticism out there on these redesigns. But truth be told, every show Warner has done with the Scooby gang has redesigned them in some way.
With "What's New Scooby-Doo," the redesigns were subtle, but still quite different when compared to the classic gang:

Here they were drawn in Warner's typical "house" style of the time, like many of their action and superhero shows, stuff like that (think "Ozzy and Drix" or "Static Shock.")
Then things got really drastic in 2006, with the even worse "Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue"...

They were apparently supposed to resemble stylized versions of the live-action Scooby-Doo gang from those two theatrical movies, but the results were not very pretty. (Shaggy even had what may be his worst voice ever, Scott Menville.)
Joseph Barbera was an "executive producer" on both shows, but I don't know how much involvement he had: it was mostly Sander Schwartz's work, the WORST president of Warner Bros. Animation ever.

After he left (thank god), then came the somewhat controversial (and VIOLENT) "Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated," which also had redesigned the characters in some way...

They tried to stay true to the classic Iwao Takamoto designs here, but making them a bit more stylish (sort of like that 2001 "Flintstones on the Rocks" TV movie Cartoon Network made.) Daphne probably looked the best out of the redesigned characters here.

So will this show stay somewhat faithful to the original series (it's going to be more comical compared to the previous revival attempts), or will it be another bust? Only time will tell...
